Is ZeroTell's AI Humanizer free to use?
You can paste your text and get ZeroTell's quick analysis of AI-typical phrasing for free, with no sign-up. Getting the full humanized version requires an account and a plan. See the Pricing page for the current plans and prices for your country.
What's the difference between Basic and Advanced?
Basic is one rewrite pass and takes up to 4,000 words per run. Advanced is part of the Pro plans* and counts each word twice toward the fair use word allowance (*up to 60,000 words a day): it uses a larger model, then runs a second pass that rewrites only the sentences that still contain AI-typical phrases or flat rhythm, and finishes with a meaning check that compares facts, numbers and names with your original and shows you anything that may have changed. It takes up to 6,000 words per run. Credits aren't sold on their own, but credits already in your account (for example ones returned after a failed run, or left from a plan) can pay for Basic runs at 1 credit per 200 words. Neither mode can guarantee how another company's detector will score your text.
Can I upload a PDF or Word file?
Yes. Upload or drag in a PDF, Word (.docx), TXT or Markdown file up to 10 MB and ZeroTell pulls out the text for you. Scanned PDFs that are only images can't be read — paste the text instead. Your file is only used to extract the text and is not stored.
How do I humanize AI text for an essay or research paper?
Paste your draft, choose the Academic tone, and pick a rewrite strength — Balanced is a good default for coursework. ZeroTell keeps a formal register and your key points while varying sentence rhythm. Before you submit, read the result, fix anything that shifted, and run it through the AI Detector to see how it reads. Always follow your school's rules on AI assistance.
Is using an AI humanizer cheating?
It depends on how you use it. Polishing a draft you wrote, or AI help your instructor allows, is ordinary editing. Using it to hand in AI-written work as your own, or to get around a no-AI rule, is cheating, and ZeroTell's terms don't allow it. Our Academic Integrity page explains what the tools are and aren't for.
Which AI tools does the humanizer work with?
All of them. ZeroTell works on the text itself, so drafts from ChatGPT, GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Copilot, Jasper, or any other AI writer are handled the same way — as is your own writing when it simply sounds too stiff.
Will the humanized text keep my original meaning?
That's the goal of every rewrite. ZeroTell changes wording, rhythm, and sentence structure while keeping your facts, arguments, and key points, without adding or removing information. Light strength makes the smallest changes and Strong restructures more freely. As with any AI tool, give the result a quick read before you use it.
Is my text stored or used for AI training?
Your text is processed only to produce your rewrite. Finished results are kept for up to 24 hours so you can unlock and copy them, then they expire. ZeroTell doesn't use your writing to train AI models, and the Privacy Policy has the full details.
How is ZeroTell different from other AI humanizers?
Many humanizers just swap in synonyms and leave the robotic sentence patterns in place. ZeroTell rewrites at the sentence level — structure, rhythm, and word choice — and gives you four tones and three rewrite strengths to control the result. Every result is checked by the ZeroTell AI Detector, and it sits right next to the full detector, so you can check a draft before and after humanizing without switching tools.
Can I use ZeroTell's AI Humanizer on my phone?
Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser — paste your text, humanize it, and copy the result straight from your phone. There's no app to download.
