Frequently asked questions
MP3, M4A, WAV, WEBM and MP4 files up to 25 MB each. For longer meetings, export the audio only or at a lower bitrate — a one-hour call at 48 kbps is about 21 MB. Video files are accepted, but only the sound is transcribed.
Transcription uses 2 credits for every started 10 minutes of audio — a 25-minute recording uses 6 credits. Generating notes uses 2 credits. The length is read from the file in your browser and checked against the transcription provider's own measurement; if the audio turns out longer, the missing 10-minute blocks are charged. Pro plans include credits for the media tools (images, infographics, storyboards, videos, presentations, booklets and meeting notes): 300 a month on Monthly and Yearly, or 75 a week on Weekly.
You can paste a transcript of up to 15,000 characters and preview the notes (title, summary and the first action item) a few times a day, with or without an account. Full notes and transcribing audio come with a Pro plan.
No. The notes only name an owner or a due date when the transcript says it. If nobody was assigned, the action item has no owner. Always review the notes before sending them.
Your audio is sent to our transcription provider (OpenAI) to be transcribed and is held in memory only while that request runs. ZeroTell does not save recordings, transcripts or notes; copy or download the notes before you leave the page.
It records from your microphone in the browser, so it picks up what your microphone hears. To use the call's own audio, upload the recording your meeting app saves, or paste the transcript it exports.
Choose this page's language, or "Same as the meeting" to keep the notes in the language that was spoken. Transcription detects the spoken language automatically.
